A/Prof. Matt Woolley

A/Prof Woolley has published seminal results in the fields of quantum optomechanics, quantum superconducting circuits, quantum transport, and quantum control theory. His research has focused on the design and thorough analysis of novel engineered quantum systems, enabling extensive collaborations with leading experimental groups. Recent avenues of research have included the application of transformer-based deep learning architectures for modelling and control of qubits and the study of stochastic learning machines, in particular, stochastic physical neural networks. The latter direction is currently being pursued in collaboration with CI Milburn.
