Jacob Ma

Jacob is a Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) student majoring in electrical engineering and physics at The University of Western Australia. His Honours thesis is entitled: Understanding newly discovered properties of isotopically enriched silicon at low mK temperatures.  The project will involve reproducing and understanding a previously seen freeze-out of a loss mechanism, possibly hopping current, in silicon at low mK temperatures. The aim is to use low loss silicon in a solid state clock and quantum devices
