Muhammad Waleed

Muhammad completed his PhD at the University of Queensland under the supervision of Professor Warwick Bowen

The aim of his project was to build quantum enhanced optical tweezers to trap, track and record the 3D motion of micro/nano particles beyond quantum noise limit and approaching the standard quantum limit.

Muhammad hopes this microscope will help to understand the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution of Brownian particle in viscous fluid. It will also determine the shot-noise limited localized changes in the viscosity of fluid (particularly cell’s cytoplasm) at highest ever possible bandwidth i.e. MHz bandwidth.
