Quantum Integration Laboratory

The Quantum Integration Laboratory aims to create connections between remote quantum systems. Such connections will be central to building large scale quantum computers and probing fundamental quantum mechanics. Scaling up quantum entanglement beyond isolated systems will require high performance qubits, interfaces between qubits and photons, sources of entanglement and transducers to convert between different operating regimes. Our group’s interest is building up sophisticated quantum networks through engineering quantum hardware based on rare-earth atoms embedded in solids and leveraging these devices to discover new physics.
